Interview: Ema Štanta

What does your average day look like?
My day starts very early...the early hours are the golden hour, whether it's a weekday or a weekend. I skip my morning coffee, drink a glass of lemon juice and I'm ready to take on the day.
I work in an online store where the work is very varied and complex, which suits my character, as monotony and routine kill me.
Afternoons and weekends are reserved for the mountains. My sports equipment is always in the car and I usually head to a hill or a small hill right after work. When the days are longer, I use them to go to the KSA, but when the days are shorter, a walk to Šmarna gora or a run around Golovec is enough. The only thing that matters is that I get some exercise and fresh air every day.

How do you organize your day?
I usually organize my days a week in advance. On Sunday I already have plans for the next 5 days. This doesn't mean I'm not spontaneous, it's just that I like my days filled, so I plan them in advance. If one plan falls through, there's always a plan B.
What were you like as a child, what were you interested in, what did you like to do?
Even as a child, I was always full of energy. I was creative, fearless, rebellious and independent. I was full of ideas (not always the smartest ones) and there was always something going on. Sports were always a part of my life, but as a child I tried different sports and never stuck with any of them for long. I stuck with volleyball the longest.
My family and I also went to the mountains a lot when I was a child. At that time, I resented the mountains for a while and didn't show any interest in them for a few years. Later, I fell in love with them again and they became a part of my everyday life.

Where does the motivation/energy for your lifestyle come from?
The motivation for my lifestyle comes from within myself. If you do things for someone else and live a certain lifestyle just to please someone and be accepted, you will never be truly happy. As an eternal adventurer, I don't let life pass me by. I want to live a full life, without regrets.
What sports do you do daily or weekly?
Currently exclusively mountaineering and occasional running.

Favorite spot you like to go to?
In my hometown, I like to go to a small hill called Cerje. It's really peaceful and quiet there. I'm happy to return there every time I visit my hometown.
The second most beautiful place is Planšarsko Lake; Zgornje Jezersko. Despite tourism, it is still authentic and remote. The views of the mountains of the Kamniško Savinjska Alps are simply divine.
What does good clothing mean to you?
When sports are part of your everyday life and you spend more hours in sportswear than in your everyday/work clothes, it is definitely important that you feel comfortable and relaxed in them. They have to serve their purpose, and you also have to feel confident.
Above all, they must be breathable, quick-drying and fragrant.

What changes once you put on sportswear – does your motivation for something more increase?
When there's a new T-shirt in the closet, the motivation to wear it and try it on as soon as possible definitely increases.
How did you perceive sportswear in the past and how do you perceive it today?
The perception of sportswear has changed a lot over time. When I just think about how I used to dress, I just start laughing. Back when I was running every day, I wore loose cotton T-shirts. But my shorts were so short that the T-shirt covered them and it looked like I didn't have them at all . Sports equipment really didn't mean anything to me back then. With age and experience, these things change a lot. Mainly because we want to feel comfortable and relaxed even during longer efforts.

What does your sports dressing system look like?
My clothing is multi-layered. The most important thing for me is that I am neither too hot nor too cold. That is why I prefer to wear several pieces of clothing at the beginning and take them off as soon as I feel that it is too much. This of course applies to walking in the mountains. When running, I wear less clothing at the beginning, so the clothing must be such that it regulates the temperature and prevents excessive sweating.

Where do you see the advantages of SportHG clothing?
So far, I have only tried one T-shirt, but it definitely met my expectations. It is the SPIKE sleeveless T-shirt. The important thing is that the T-shirt is light, thin, breathable and dries really quickly. In addition, it has an attractive appearance and beautiful colors. A woman should feel good in her own skin, whether it is on the red carpet, during training or somewhere high in the wall.
What from the SportHG collection would you recommend to girls who like to play sports?
Although I haven't tried the other products in the range, I think the functional underwear and sports bras are worth buying. The long-sleeved compression technical shirts are also highly recommended, as they will be more than perfect for the upcoming autumn weather.

What are your future plans/plans?
I don't have long-term plans for the future. I prefer to focus on the short-term and live in a way that makes every day special and that at the end of the day I am satisfied and fulfilled. I would like to continue life at the same pace as I am now. Grateful for everything I have been given and happy to be able to do what I enjoy. The mountains are my present and future. Every year I would like to go a thousand meters higher and test my body. But only to the point where I feel that it is enough for me.
Tell us something about yourself:
To sum it all up again...I am a person of opposites. I am an adventurer, I love fun, company, but I also need peace and solitude. I am free and independent. I love to travel, explore, I love endless oceans and high, mighty mountains. Nature takes me over at every step and gives me life motivation. I enjoy loud music and dancing, but I also need silence and tranquility. I release my excess energy in the mountains, and when I have some time left, I sit down at the sewing machine and create and sew clothes.

Product review of the Twink sleeveless top:
The packaging itself was aesthetically designed and visually appealing, which definitely gives a good first impression. Because the product is carefully packaged, you immediately get the feeling that this is not a mass production that competes with a low price, but a high quality product.
The Spike top completely met my expectations. When I first looked at your website, it was immediately clear to me that the products were of high quality and I was very excited to try them out. I generally don't respond to such promotional messages. When I put the top on, I quickly saw that the descriptions and pictures on the website were very consistent and true.
I will use it for all my adventures, which mainly include mountaineering, trekking, and climbing.
What I like most about the product is that the T-shirt is light and airy. I avoid short T-shirts and prefer to wear sleeveless T-shirts, which is why the SPIKE T-shirt is perfect for me.
If I could change anything about the product, it would be the cut of the T-shirt and I would narrow it a little at the bottom so that it would be more fitted and fit the body better. The T-shirt is elastic enough that it could be narrower and still fit different body shapes nicely.
I would recommend the product to others because of all the features listed above that are important to me...airy, lightweight, sleeveless, quick-drying, noticeable, attractive, beautiful colors...
I would also try the TWINK T-shirt, the C-XTREM long-sleeved compression technical shirt, the Emerald sports bra, compression leggings, and compression socks.
