SportHg is a Spanish brand of premium active sportswear, which has been a sponsor of the largest ultra trail running event in Slovenia - UTVV Slovenia , and one of the largest ultra trail events in the world - Trans Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands for many years. The clothing tested on over 3,000 enthusiastic users convinced us to include the SportHG collection in the Be Active offer and be the first in Slovenia to offer the aforementioned clothing to satisfied and active users.

What is SportHG?

SportHG® is a brand of the Spanish company Needful, which has been producing high-quality technical sportswear from seamless materials for over 20 years.

Over the years, the company has become known as one of the most innovative companies in the vibrant Spanish textile market. In 2010, the company improved the quality of its products and incorporated carbon fibers into its fabrics; all its knowledge and efforts were combined into the SportHG® brand.

The versatility of SportHG® brand materials allows them to be used in all sports and various weather conditions.

The SportHG® philosophy is focused on continuous innovation and the use of new technologies, while preserving tradition and experience in the textile industry.

Sustainable and ethical

The SportHG® production center is located in Sant Pol de Mar in Maresme, a suburb of Barcelona, ​​a historic area with a rich textile and commercial tradition. The textile industry was developed here as early as the 19th century and was the driving force behind the economic development of the region through the use of new technologies, railway transport and textile machinery.

The specialty of SportHG® is that they are 100% produced in Spain. The supply chain is short, all raw materials come from European Union countries.

Technologies used and developed by SportHG® :

ACTIVE+ system

SportHG's own differential compression system for maximum efficiency and comfort. The compression is carefully distributed throughout the garment, so that pressure is only applied to specific parts of the body, thereby significantly improving circulation and physical performance. The differential compression system consists of elastic fibers of different strengths, which allows for a smart distribution of pressure on the body.
Since compression garments, despite their effectiveness, are considered less comfortable, SportHG ® changed this fact with Active+ technology and enabled comfortable use of compression garments. The unique Active+ system has been tested by numerous Olympic athletes, canoeists, professional tennis players, top runners and their coaches.

CLIMATHERM is an innovative patented SportHG ® technology responsible for the superior characteristics of the clothing. It is a modified polyester in which each fiber consists of several hollow microfillers, which creates a layer of air and thus helps the body's thermoregulation. These technical characteristics are the reason why the material is highly absorbent, and with a special processing treatment it achieves an excellent antibacterial effect, protection against bad odors and protection against UV rays.

MICRO PERFORATION is a special technology that gives the fabric exceptional breathability and lightness, suitable for sports activities in warmer weather. The breathability and lightness provided by the fabric ensures rapid sweat wicking, thus keeping the athlete dry at all times.

On colder days, the comfort of the clothing works great as an inner first layer due to the thermal regulation provided by the fabric.

CARBON FIBERS

In a world dominated by electromagnetic fields and synthetic fabrics, the human body is constantly exposed to static electricity. Its effects are harmful to the body during sports training, as they alter the neuro-electrical connections between the brain and the muscles in the body. Carbon fibers dissipate this electrical voltage, so that the muscles always work at full capacity. In the long run, the body suffers less damage and achieves better results for every liter of oxygen and every heartbeat.

How do SportHG clothes work?

Most of the main fabric of SportHG clothing is made with Climatherm technology, in the case of micro perforation, the mass of the fabric is reduced and the number of fillers is increased, creating the effect of lightness and breathability.

Micro Perforated fabric is best suited for outdoor sports activities in the summer months, such as trail running, climbing, cycling, etc.

Runners have tested Climatherm garments in races in the Sahara Desert at +40°C as well as in the Arctic Circle at -25°C, where they performed excellently in both heat and cold. They kept the athlete's body dry, clean and at the most optimal body temperature.

The ability to regulate temperature independently of external conditions and the athlete's activity is ideal for long-term endurance sports in nature, such as running, hiking, and cycling.

Compared to other clothing, the microperforated clothing line is slightly less durable at the expense of lightness and breathability and is sensitive to wearing heavy backpacks.

SportHG® allows for fully microperforated garments or only partial use of this technology in certain areas of the garment. Such a combination is used in the Team SportHG® trail running jersey line, which contains stronger fibers in areas subject to high friction (wearing a backpack).
