Interview: Anda Arko

What does your average day look like?
I work for Valens, a company that produces dietary supplements. I am responsible for marketing and sales (both in Slovenia and abroad), so my work week is more of a "home - work" and "work at home" style. In the afternoon, I first have to cuddle and walk the dog, followed by various sports activities, either solo or with my partner. On the weekend, I am mostly in nature, either in the mountains or at the seaside.

How do you organize your day?
I'm a pretty routine person. During the week, I get up around 8am, have breakfast, get dressed quickly, and am at work by 9am. I adjust my afternoon activities to the weather, grab a coffee at a local bar, and spend the evening watching a TV series or a good movie. I go to bed around midnight and, if possible, get 8 hours of sleep.
What were you like as a child, what were you interested in, what did you like to do?
Above all, I remember that I always knew how to distract myself, I was very curious and I was practically never bored. I loved following all kinds of sports, and later I also practiced volleyball, which I unfortunately had to give up due to my study obligations. Of course, there was also the period of being a typical teenager and the party years, so I can say that I really didn't miss anything. 😊
Where does the motivation for your lifestyle come from?
I have to admit that I have changed a lot in this area in recent years. I used to hate running and the effort, and even in volleyball I preferred serving. 😊 About 10 years ago I moved to the area around Tržič, where nature kind of kicks your ass on its own. Well, Tržič itself is not exactly a place where you would have much "urban" to do. 😊 First I started running, then I threw myself into a home gym, and in recent years I have also included hiking in my repertoire. The motivation comes from the desire to stay healthy and active for as long as possible, while at the same time I want to maintain a ratio between muscle mass and figure that I am happy with.
What sports do you do daily or weekly? What is your favorite place to go?
I exercise 5 to 6 days a week, spending most of my time at my home gym, as it's the least "work" - both in terms of time and organization. I try to go to the mountains at least once a week, weather permitting. I prefer to be on top of a mountain or hill, which is probably evident from my Instagram profile.
What does good clothing mean to you?
Overall, this is a garment that I feel good in and look good in. And which of course doesn't get ruined after just two washes.
What changes once you put on sportswear - does your motivation for something more increase?
Motivation comes earlier, sportswear is basically the first step towards activity. Once you put it on, there's no going back for me. 😊
How did you perceive sportswear in the past and how do you perceive it today?
Without exaggeration, like night and day. I used to think that it didn't matter what you put on and used more or less worn-out T-shirts and pants for sports. Today it's completely different. Even for home fitness, I feel much more "Olympic" if I wear quality sportswear that doesn't bind you during exercise and absorbs sweat as it goes.
What does your sports dressing system look like?
I have favorite brands for each sport, so I keep my clothes in my closet organized by these categories. For example, for hiking, I have completely different leggings than for fitness or running. First, I choose the bottom part, and then I color-match the top part. I'm just a typical woman here. 😊
Where do you see the advantages of SportHG clothing?
So far I've only tried the short-sleeved shirts and I was pleasantly surprised. They are visually very aesthetic, soft to the touch, and comfortable to wear. They also absorb sweat quite well, but it's true that I haven't worn them in more extreme conditions.

Your plans for the future?
Ugh, if I start making plans, the interview will never end. 😊 I should mention at this point that I really love traveling - I also write about it on my blog. I have another fun road trip planned for this year and I still have a lot of planning to do. In terms of business, I have quite a few challenges and opportunities ahead of me in the near future, which I believe I can handle. I am an extremely goal-oriented person and when I set my mind to something, I achieve it. I never run out of plans and consequently goals. 😉
Product review
WOMEN'S ''ULTRALIGHT'' SHORT SLEEVE T-SHIRT - TWINK (RED)
I haven't had much luck with so-called functional T-shirts so far, as I haven't found a model that I like yet. When I looked at the SportHG range of T-shirts, this model immediately caught my eye. Judging by the picture and description, I thought the Twink T-shirt would be perfect for me. When I first held it in my hands, I was really happy because it was soft to the touch. The T-shirt itself is really pleasant to wear, it is extremely light, like a second skin, but at the same time it is elastic enough to fit the body nicely. I use it for hiking and so far it has proven to be of sufficient quality to be able to recommend it. In the future, I would like a more diverse range of colors, but I wouldn't change anything about the design and sizes. I would also be happy to try out the SportHG tank top and long-sleeved T-shirts.
